2012 is the year of the Lomograph! And to celebrate here are my top seven places to visit this coming year.
-
Walking in the most important park of Como, near the lake. A great place to relax, have fun, play sports, and see some important buildings who tell us the history of the most important citizens of the city.
-
Once in a while, try adding a little assignment to your Lomographic routine -- like what I did with our furry friends at Hyde Park!
-
Green: the color of life, the sign of summer. The color of photosynthesis, which is necessary for all life on this planet. A really important color you could say. Take a look at some of my favorite greens and photos of trees!
-
The largest park in London. Richmond Park is a 2,360 acre park within London. It is the largest of the Royal Parks in London and Britain's second largest urban walled park after Sutton Park, Birmingham. The park is famous for its red and fallow deer, which number over six hundred. It is so big, you can't see everything in one day. So we decided to try the route suggested by the Walks in London book by Rough Guides which I recently bought.
-
Religion, nature and...beer! These three factors make an almost perfect combination, which Park of the Dead offers. In this place you will find a lounge bar open all day and the owner is also a lover of Lomography.
-
See how Lomography has made it possible for us to see the world in pleasant, vibrant green!
-
Wapping was originally a Saxon settlement. This area was known as a marshland until the 16th century when it was drained. It then became a rich meadow and garden ground until it was acquired for the London Docks. By 1969, the docks at Wapping were empty. Trees were planted and it was optimistically called Wapping Woods. However, the trees could not survive and the result is the small park we have today.
-
When you are in the middle of a noisy street, among the people, the traffic, noises, smells...everything seems to be overwhelming! To help you get away from it all, I'm sure that with just a short walk you can easily reach one of London's Royal Parks: Regent's Park, Hyde Park, St. James Park - simply choose one and enjoy!
-
Fairy-tale looking mountainous region in Cumbria, North-West region of United Kingdom. Lots of people think of the UK as a babylon country of hustle and struggle, and eternal fog (you name it).
They are always surprised to see the photos of enormously beautiful landscapes this country possesses.
Lake District is one of its treasures.
-
Well, I have to admit, I am obsessed with legs! Especially my own feet! I guess a lot of Lomographers out there who like to shoot feet as well. Are you wondering what makes it so special to me, untill I can't get enough of them? Read on!
-
Whitemoor is a small allotment site in Nottingham. I've had an allotment there for a little over a year. I love spending afternoons watering my vegetables and wandering the narrow lanes. It is off the beaten track, which si perfect if you want to avoid cliche photos!
-
Don't you just love the intoxicating smell of freshly cut grass? Or how it feels to frolic around the green with your kids? The fields of green grass are always ripe for Lomographic opportunities and we're about to announce the winners Splendor in the Grass Tag Rumble, right here, right now!
-
Seeing wide grassy fields is like an invitation to playfully run through it, lie in it, or roll around like a little kid. It also makes a good background for some sunny Lomographic shots! So if you have any of these grassy photos, help us find them by tagging "grass" to your pictures, and you could win Piggies!
-
This week's winning Location allows you to study and relax Should you find yourselves in Portugal, make sure to drop by the beautiful Jardim Calouste Gulbenkian!
-
I love my summer's In Mary Steven's Park. Play frisbee, cricket, BBQ, relax with friends and watch time stand still. What more could a lomographer want.
-
This garden is one of the most beautiful parks in Lisbon. It has lots of trees, grass and secret places, and also two different museums, library, restaurant, ... If you're in Lisbon don't miss it!
-
From the moment me and my girlfriend decided to walk the last twelve miles to the festival I fell in love Glastonbury.
-
My day started at 4.00am. Woke up, freshen up, then I'm all ready to do some little exercise. We are headed to Semenyih, a town near Kajang which is roughly 40mins away from my home.
