Souqs- Magic Labyrinth of Marrakech
written by neja on 2011-02-23 #placesSouq means "market". They occupy quite a big part of the Medina (old town) and may be a bit problematic to navigate, even if you posses a good map. Street names are a rare thing to see in Marrakech in general, and here just forget it, you just go with the flow.

Chernobyl/Prypiat: A Silent City
written by pinkpix on 2011-11-06 #placesSeptember 2011, Marije (s0y) and I finally took the trip we wanted to do for so long, visit Ukraine, Kiev and in particular, the 30km exclusion zone around Chernobyl, with the ghost town of Prypiat. When I saw the bumper carts, I almost cried. Afterwards, we were exhausted; there was so much to take in. And bringing too many cameras is never a good idea. ;)

Victoria and Alfred Hotel, Cape Town
written by neja on 2012-07-25 #placesA hotel with the best ever view you could possibly ever wish for. While preparing for going to Cape Town, I obviously wanted to stay somewhere with a Table Mountain view. It is called such because of the clouds rolling across the top of the mountain, which looks like a table cloth. A lot of the hotels advertised "partial Table View", but in reality, you would have to hang out by the window with the possibility of a broken neck to see even a glimpse of this majestic mountain.

Analogue Urban Exploring in Dadipark
written by pinkpix on 2011-08-21 #placesTogether with a small group of friends, I went to the abandoned amusement park 'Dadipark', which closed almost 10 years ago after a series of accidents in which a 9-year-old boy lost his arm. Although more and more people find their way to this park as it is an open secret, it is still quite intact. It was freaky and fascinating. And definitely worth a visit.

DMZ - the World's Hottest Border
written by wil6ka on 2012-06-06 #placesIt is most likely the one border that is constantly in the focus of the world. The demarcation line between North and South Korea is always hot and edgy. You better hold your horses and don’t get silly, because the soldiers have their finger on the trigger. But beside from that, the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in South Korea can also be considered as a political version of Disneyland.
