We will take advantage of LACMA’s “LA County Residents After 5” program to see “Fracture: Daido Moriyama,” a black and white photo exhibition in the Pavilion for Japanese Art. Moriyama was known for his gritty black and white photographs of Japanese urban life. Try out your own black and white photography skills on the grounds of LACMA after we tour the exhibition!

I recently came across some of these shots of Elizabeth Taylor in Iran and quickly dismissed them as posed, kitschy and generally unappealing. Turns out I was rather wrong.
