The 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede (also known as “the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”) is being celebrated this year (July 6th to 15th). The Stampede is an annual 10 day rodeo and fair that is attended by people from around the globe. It is likely this event that helps perpetuate the “Cowtown” nickname for Calgary because everyone’s inner cowboy or cowgirl comes out for the Stampede. Oh yeah, and we get some genuine cow-folk as well.

Canada Day, celebrated on July 1st, marks the anniversary of the Constitution Act of 1867, which united three British colonies into one country. The start of the summer season is a great time to celebrate national pride.

We've been seeing some great weather here in San Francisco! When the sun is shining and the temperature rises, SF locals take some time to enjoy the weather. With our friends, our pets, our picnics and our cameras in tow, there's no better way to spend a day than outside! Thus, here's a list of some or favorite places to lay out and soak up the sun.

Is it wrong to take a trip down memory lane to an era that you don’t actually have memories of because you weren’t alive back then? Why is it that vintage cars pull at my heart strings with a certain nostalgia? On a recent trip through Revelstoke, British Columbia, I was thrilled to encounter a vintage car show.

Taking pics of children demands a sense of timing. This is nothing without speed and my La Sardina has this in spades.

Suraksan Mountain (수락산) rising 637meters above Seoul, is the third of Seoul’s three big mountains and a perfect location for hiking, mountain climbing, and bouldering. Add the element of winter – snow and ice – to this equation and you have the perfect combination for a mountain winter wonderland and a thrilling day outside.

In light of recent successes and subsequent addiction with multiple exposures, I decided to take a look at the 10 commandments of Lomovangelism and dedicate an entire roll to the 'MX' button of my Fisheye No. 2.

As for the LC-A race location at least one is needed to be about "Night and Music Delirium (bar, view, park)" I thought myself, wow, this one will be hard to find for my stage locations about Raiatea Island..... let's say it short: there is absolutely NO NIGHTLIFE on Raiatea.... :( But perhaps I could find a good place to shoot at night...?

Wandering about and taking in the scenery is one of my favorite pastimes; I’m betting it’s one of yours too. You can take in scenery just about anywhere, but Maymont is pretty special. It’s 100 acres of pure green beauty interspersed with various gardens and animal sanctuaries. In my eyes, it’s like a miniature version of New York’s Central Park (minus the ice skating rink) in the middle of Richmond.

A park that looks like a garden in some places and like a wildlife sanctuary in others, massive modern brick building appearing out of nowhere behind some trees, artworks by Cézanne, Matisse and Schwitters among a mix of ancient sculptures of the Khmer and from China – believe it or not, but you'll find this unique mix at Museum Insel Hombroich in Neuss, Germany.

In the fall of 2008, my family and I decided to visit two wineries in Placerville, CA. These two wineries offered a wonderful experience for everyone. They were both very accommodating, served fantastic wines, and offered beautiful surrounding views. The first winery we visited was the Boeger Winery. It was the bigger and older of the two that we visited. It had a big old building on the grounds which used to be where they processed and bottled the wines, but now it used as one their two small tasting rooms.
