There's nothing like "au naturel". I stumbled across saviorjosh's Fuji Natura Classica shots from Kenya and was captivated by the majestic animals, wilderness, and full on nature that we don't find in our city settings. If you are a Dutch 16-year-old girl, you’re not very likely to find yourself cleaning toilets that are occupied by cockroaches somewhere in Africa. However, that’s one of the things I did this summer when I volunteered in Malawi - and it was amazing.

The best sunset spot in the entire world. If you are into sunsets like me, you would definitely appreciate Camps Bay Beach in Cape Town. It's easy to reach, there are lots of restaurants and bars where you can savor your drinks while enjoying the magnificent scenery of the Atlantic or you can spend hours on the beach itself.

Color negative film often doesn’t appeal to me. There seem to be endless variation and colours are not as reliable as slide film, and cross processing it is basically not an option. But it is the variety, that makes analogue photography ever exciting and the Voigtländer V200 is a choice that catches more of my attention lately!

Bright violent sunlight streams from a nearly cloudless, blue sky striking the soft wet sands of the early morning Swahili Coast. Wooden dhows rest motionlessly atop of tiny pools waiting for the ocean's water to roll back in, waiting to bob and weave while in pursuit of fish with their fishermen friends again. Cloaked in vibrant khanga cloth, the women of the village move away from their jagged coral, shell, and concrete constructed abodes.

Once you visit Africa you know you have to go back there again. Such a huge continent must be visited more than once to have an idea of all the traditions, tribes, wildlife…Maybe it’s because of the wildlife, or the landscapes or the ancestral traditions but I fell in love last year, and this love is forever. Welcome to the start of my adventure in Senegal.
