When my friends visited me in Vienna for the first time, I panicked. How am I supposed to show everything I love about this city in the course of two days? I grabbed the Lomography City Guide Vienna to be my rescue – but only to panic again. I have lived in Vienna for quite some time without realizing how much it yet has to offer; that there are still so many unique locations, special events, and charming, “lomographable” spots to discover!
As my friends’ visit was a great success (thank you, City Guide), now I’m the one with the travel itch. Where I’m going, I don’t know, but I will go with my eyes open, be it a new city or a city I thought I knew and had long forgotten! Until I make up my mind, I have the awesome Lomography city guides to feed my wanderlust.
Want to make fantastic travel discoveries of your own? Go visit our Online Shop and choose from our selection of City Guides! Or better yet—get all 4 as a bundle!

Q: Hello! I need help with my Spinner 360 camera. I think it’s not spinning for 360 degrees, am I doing something wrong?
A: Hi there! To get those amazing 360 shots, first check to make sure that the camera is not in R (rewind) mode so that you will not accidentally rewind the film. Now, load your camera, find a perfect view and all you have to do is pull the string all the way and let go of the string in a way that is spins by itself without the tension you apply when you hold it.
It’s that easy! Just pull the string all the way and release the camera cord quickly!
Have fun spinning!

Hey there! Welcome to another installment of Lomography’s Staff Picks! Today we are featuring a hardworking member of the Lomography Canada team, Jeanette. Read on and find out which cameras she uses during her spare time!
Name: Jeanette Lee
What you do at Lomography: Online Manager Canada
Interests: I love watching old movies, and listening to music of all kinds! I also enjoy making and eating rice crispie squares. It’s the only dessert I know how to make, so I am trying to learn other recipes. I also enjoy doing arts and crafts, so I am very excited to create my own DIY La Sardina
Why? Both are wide angle lens cameras, but they have their own style. La Sardina was the first camera I used from Lomography. I love how it is so simple to use, and how the outcome is very surprising. I like the creativity, and how it is built for multiple-exposure experimentation. LC-Wide is always a reliable camera. It never disappoints me. The photos always turn out with intense colours, with perfect quality of saturation and contrast.
Please tell us something about this picture.
This was taken with the La Sardina during the LomoMatrix that we had here in Toronto. Most of the people shot with the La Sardina so that we can capture everything in a wide angle. As you can see I am loading film for my own La Sardina.
Your message to Lomographers:
Always have your camera in your pocket! You never know, or can predict what you will come across, so you have to be ready to capture the right moment. Try shooting in different angles, it is always fun to see the outcome from different perspectives. Have fun.
Thanks for sharing your analogue expertise, Jeanette! Come back next week!

Q: Help! I’m getting a lot of blurred and washed out day and night shots. Do you think my Diana Mini Petite Noire is broken? Or haunted?
A: Hello there! If you noticed that you have blurred or washed outs shots whether the sun is shining or you went on a midnight Lomowalk, you must first check if the shutter of your camera is working. Just open the camera back, advance the film and trigger the shutter, the lens should open and close in an instant.
During sunny days, always make sure that your Diana Mini is in N mode and not in B mode as this would cause the shutter to stay open for a long time and you’ll end up with ghostly shots.
When you’re out to party with your friends or just strolling to be in awe at the night sky, make sure that you are equipped with a high ISO film, a tripod mount, a flash, a camera with B mode such as the Diana Mini or a camera which allows you to have a slow shutter speed such as the LC-Wide and you’re ready to have beautiful long exposures.
Always remember that light is your best friend! :)

On the outside, the LC-Wide looks almost identical to the LC-A+ with its sophisticated black plastic body. But what’s inside this little compact camera that makes it so versatile and unique? Let’s leave that to the experts, shall we? All we know is, this handy and robust camera boasts the new Minigon Ulta-Wide Angle lens that’s perfect for taking vivid wide-angle shots. In looks and features, the LC-Wide has a lot in common with the LC-A+. But with the added versatility of 3 different photo formats (half-frame, square and full frame), the LC-Wide offers more photo opportunities!
Get your own LC-Wide from the “Online Shop”;http://shop.lomography.com/?utm_source=www&utm_medium=shopnews&utm_campaign=nl_whats_inside_lcwide today. But we hope you resist the temptation to break it apart like these guys. They are the experts afterall ;)
