Staff Picks: Nural from Lomography Turkey

Happy weekend, everyone! This Saturday, we are glad to hear from Nural, the General Manager of Lomography Turkey. Aside from film photography, let’s see what other analogue activities she’s got her hands on.

    Name: Nural Idrisoglu

    LomoHome: nural

What you do at Lomography: I’m the General Manager for Lomography Turkey. Other than following everything that is going on in the Gallery Store or the online shop, I’m mainly in charge of wholesale, admin and finance.

Interests: Other than Lomography you mean :) I got a darkroom that’s barely used (I know, what a shame!), I love scrapbooking, can’t live without music and coffee.

Which Lomography product would you recommend to readers? Oh this is a tough one, how to choose from all those amazing products! I think recently my favorite has shifted to Horizon Perfekt!

Why? It’s a great panoramic camera that lets me select the aperture and shutter speed, so I get the final say in the exposure of the photo! Also, since the lens shifts when shooting, it minimizes the blur even in shooting low speed, without a tripod. Here’s the proof.

Please let us see a picture of yourself taken with a Lomography camera or film and tell us something about this photo. This is one of my favorite self portraits. I shot it with my LC-A+, using Fuji sensia film. It was taken during one of my trips to Vienna, I had some alone time and had to use it taking photos :)

Your message to Lomographers: Recently I poured some wine over my laptop. It’s in repair now but there is a chance all my photos will disappear when they change the hard disk. Thankfully I only shoot on film and keep my negatives, so I’ll be able to rescan all my photos from the past 4 years. So make sure you keep your negatives, you never know when you might need them!

Thank you, Nural, for sharing your thoughts with us! Be back here next week for another installment of Lomography Staff Picks!
