Today’s staff pick is quite unique in that he and Lomography have a long and colorful history together. For this week, we’re featuring someone who has experienced the different types of work that keeps us running. Let’s see what he has to say:
Name: Aaron (You could pronounce it any way you want)
What you do at Lomography: I shifted through a lot of designations throughout my LSI stint – from graphic designer & copywriter to community manager to customer service representative to magazine editor to office manager (phew!). After all this, I finally settled down as Digital Agency Manager which allows me to do these cool things all at the same time!
Interests: I could go on and on with things that I’m inclined to! But to keep it short, I’m always open to trying anything once. I love to travel a lot, watch world cinema, cook, take snapshots, look at and do some design here and there. As of late, I’ve been really into certificate/degree collecting – a.k.a. formally studying amazing things like cooking, foreign language and some other geeky technical stuff that I’ve taken for granted while I was still in Uni.
Which Lomography product would you recommend to readers? Any camera from the Lomo LC-A line
Why? It’s the perfect camera for anyone who wants to get into the whole Lomography movement. Amazing vignettes, crisp photos and just a little bit of experimentation with it goes a long way! I have the original Russian version and the Lomo LC-A+ and try to shift things depending on my mood.
Please attach a picture of yourself taken with a Lomography camera or Lomography film and tell us something about this picture.
A set of pictures as it’s hard to pick just one! These are some photos from my journeys with various film cameras. I’ve been going places, meeting new people, trying out new food – all together with my Lomography cameras and film!
Your message to Lomographers:
Keep calm and Lomo on!
Thanks, Aaron! Lomography sure is lucky to have someone as versatile and well-rounded as you to keep things up and running. Check back next week for another installment of Staff Picks!
