Lomography Q&A: Shooting Under the Sun

    Q. Help! I’ll be going on vacation this weekend but I can’t decide which camera to bring. I’d like to take lots of fun photos so when I go back home, I can show my friends what they’ve missed. Can you please give me some advice?

    A. Hello! We want to give you many, many thumbs up for actually thinking about bringing a camera. Many people tend to forget about it when rushing to prepare for a trip. :)

Anyway, we’d say the ideal camera to bring depends on where you’re going. If you’re going to the beach, it’s best to bring something compact like the LC-Wide or the Fisheye No. 2 Faded Denim. The LC-Wide takes stunning wide-angle photos and lets you experiment with different formats, while the Fisheye No. 2 allows you to see the world from a different perspective as it produces crazy circular shots. Both are compatible with their respective underwater cases so you can even take them swimming!

If you’re going to the mountains, we’d definitely recommend a panoramic camera like the Spinner 360 or the Horizon Kompakt. The Spinner will capture literally everything around you and the Horizon will produce photos twice the length of a standard frame. If that’s not going to make your friends jealous, we don’t know what will!

Whatever camera you choose to bring, we hope you have a fun time! Don’t forget to send us your vacation shots!
