A Review of the Lomo’Instant Strap

Lomography ran a vote for the backers of the Lomo’Instant Kickstarter project to decide which design the Lomo’Instant Strap should have. Below is my little review about it.

At first glance, the *Lomo’Instant Strap* is just stylish. One side is gray/white colored, almost silver, while the other is turquoise with a white graphic pattern. It’s about one centimeter wide and has a length of about one meter.

The strap is to be attached to the two little silver brackets on the *Lomo’Instant*, or to any other camera that has a part for attaching camera straps.

When the strap is attached to the Lomo’Instant, the camera hangs in an upright position. This is a pity, because I prefer shooting in horizontal format.

It’s pretty comfortable wearing the Lomo’Instant with the Strap because it is neither too thin nor too wide. The nylon material feels okay, even as it is in contact directly with the skin.

I just make use of cameras straps if I have to bend over a railing, or at slopes where I have to keep in mind that my camera could drop from my hand and fall deep. Apart from that, camera straps are not really my thing, because I don’t like it when the camera hangs around my neck. It’s also too striking to wear a camera around my neck. I prefer to carry them in my bag and to just get it out if I want to take a picture. But if you like camera straps, this one is definitely a must have!
