Lomography X-Pro Slide 200 35mm: My Personal Experience

Lomography X-Pro Slide: a great film with calm tones.

This is my personal story when using Lomography X-Pro Slide 200 35mm film.

First time get this film from ngoki when he offered to echange it for my fresh roll of Kodak EBX.

When I got back home, it was already night time but I really wanted to try this film badly. Meanwhile as a natural light lover, I’m not really a fan of indoor/night shots.

I don’t really know much about what happened only that I got this film in fresh condition but the grain is so strong. Maybe it was just luck but I have no problems with getting grain as long as I still get my photos.

One thing that I realized after seeing the characteristic of this film is that in sunny days, the film gave the dark background under the sunny light strong lines and shapes.

I had the photos scanned at a different lab and it turned out to have different colors. It’s so greenish when I re-scanned the film at another lab.

Dark cloudy and rainy shooting conditions are the type of lighting that I avoid while on a Lomowalk, even when I shoot with this film.

How about a silhouette shot? Well, I’m always in a hurry to shoot the shutter release. Maybe I should wait until the color of the sky turn out perfectly when it comes to color.

I have heard many speculations about this film was re-branding of other slide films but I don’t care. I’m just amazed with the Lomography X-Pro Slide 200 right from the get-go.

Actually I really want to try this film again because I feel that I didn’t enjoy the film’s results fullt with my last three rolls. I guess I have to save up to get myself more X-Pro Slide films!

The new Lomography X-Pro Slide 35mm film is made from the original Agfa RSX 200 emulsion. If you want whacked out colours, huge contrast, and insane saturation, this film is for you. See our selection of Lomography films here.
