Belair X 6-12: The Versatile Choice for Travel Photography

A light and very compact medium format capable of taking photos in 3 different sizes: 6x12, 6x9 and 6x6. Equipped with high-quality interchangeable lenses and external exposure to avoid mistakes our shots, this and much more is the Belair X 6-12.

In addition to what I have already said about the premium Lomography Belair X 6-12, you can find it in 4 different models with different coatings but with the same high quality build :
The City Slicker, Jetsetter, the Trailblazer (limited edition) and the Globetrotter (also a limited edition.) Indeed the Jetsetter, Trailblazer and Globetrotter unlike the City Silcker have the aluminum outer coating and the additional leather strip. Out of the 4 models, I chose the Jetsetter.

This camera is great for travel photography. When closed, it easily fits in any backpack or shoulder bag. To use the Belair, there is a need to vent the bellows (operated by a button placed under the camera body.) Just mount the lens you want (we can choose four types of optics, the two provided are the 58mm and 90mm lens. While the other two are purchased separately – the 90mm and 114mm glass lenses produced by Zenit with a viewfinder.

Once you have chosen the desired format according to the mask (6×6, 6×9 and 6×12) can load the 120 film and start shooting. Too bad that the format cannot be changed during shooting itself. That would be like totally convenient.

I’m in love with the quality and versatility of the Belair. In fact I always carry it with me, ready to be used with the 6×12 mask that is great for shooting good quality landscape photos.

I took it to my trip to Milan and I was totally impressed with the photos I got.

The photos were all done with the 6×12 mask and 90mm lens. As you can see the pictures are nicely detailed and well exposed.

Even with the bulb mode, we can get a clean picture that is well exposed. There’s no camera shake (it is necessary to shoot these pictures while you hold down the trigger the whole time while on bulb mode.)

If you like the medium-format panoramic photos then the Belair X 6-12 is the perfect camera for you!
