Reviews on Rewind: DigitaLIZA 120

Medium format films are chock-full of detail and offer an incredibly wide dynamic range. Make sure you get the full potential of your medium format images by scanning them yourself with the DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask. It gives you a tremendous amount of control in scanning, from including overlapped exposures to panoramas. Have a look at some reviews from the community in this week's Reviews on Rewind.

DigitaLIZA 120 Film Scanning Mask: A Blessing in Disguise by adam_g2000

The other clip I have doesn’t hold the negatives very tight, so cheaper film, and self developed film that may bend in the middle can touch the glass of the scanner. When this happens you get a side effect called Newton Ringing (or Newton Rings)… These show on your scans as a circular or roundish rainbow and are annoying and distracting. When using the DigitaLIZA 120 the method of loading holds the negatives a bit tighter, which can completely remove the problem.

Oh DigitaLiza 120, You so Fine! by stratski

The DigitaLiza sure made my scanning life easier. No matter how curly or twisted my negatives are, the DigitaLiza squashes them flat without hassle. Pop them in the DigitaLiza, snap on the magnetic cover, close the lid, remove the magnetic cover, and tadaa! A beautifully flat negative.

DigitaLIZA 120: Easy and Quick Medium Format Scanning by paramir

The first (and big!) advantage about the DigitaLIZA 120 that presented itself to me was the fact that the it can accommodate 3 6×6 frames in its window (as opposed to 2 only on the Epson mask). This meant for me that the scanning will go at 150% from now on! All the people who are scanning at home know it is a big difference…
