Lomography Belair X 6-12

A medium format camera capable of shooting in 3 different sizes: 6x12, 6x9 and 6x6. It is also equipped with high-quality interchangeable lenses, and external exposure.

The Lomography Belair is available in 4 different versions

The City Slicker, the Jetsetter, the Trailblazer (limited edition) and the Globetrotter (also a limited edition, but sold out). In fact, the four machines are identical in the mechanism and functionality, the only difference is in the coating, in fact the Jetsetter, the Trailblazer, and Globetrotter, unlike the City Silcker, have the outer coating in aluminum with the addition of a leather strip .
When ordering, I opted for the Jetsetter. With its aluminum case and brown leather band, it reminds me a bit of 70’s style old cars.

The machine is an excellent travel companion. When closed, it fits easily into any backpack/bag. To use it, vent the bellows (operated by a button placed under the camera body). Mount the lens you want (we can choose four types of optics, the two provided are 58mm and a 90mm, the other two can be purchased separately: a 90mm and a 114mm glass), all with their viewfinder.

Once you have chosen the desired format according to the mask (6 × 6, 6 × 9 and 6 × 12), we can load the film 120 and start shooting.

I shot in the last trip I made in Milan and I was impressed by the good results obtained.

The photos were all done with the mask 6×12 and 90mm lens as supplied.
As you can see the pictures are well detailed and well exposed.

Even with bulb, we get a well exposed and clean picture (to do these photos you need to hold down the trigger for the time needed).

Lomography recently launched another accessory for the Belair – a 35mm Back that allows us to mount the 135mm (film most economical and available compared to 120) on the Belair. The pictures you get are real well exposed panoramas including Sprocket Holes.

If you like panoramic photos, this machine is perfect for you.
