Ilford XP2 ISO 400 BW Film : The Chronicle Review

2

It’s Black and White – NOT Purple

When reviewing Ilford XP2 ISO 400 BW I didn’t put the complete photo from the re-scan because of some trouble at lab. Here are the complete photos!

As we know, this film can be processed with the C-41 process, a.k.a. normal color negative film process, so I processed it at Seni Abadi lab photo.

But I had doubts with the color result because it turns out more purple rather than b&w color. So I re-scanned the roll at Nasir Foto.

And the result is normal b&w color which made me dizzy. Why did the same roll produce different b&w color?

I don’t know, I’m not the process expert, and I’m too lazy to process film myself. But so far I love this b&w film.

It’s very suitable for lazy self process b&w film people like me =p

And I can process it anywhere even in labs that don’t have b&w services.

Recently I read another r"eview for this film":http://www.lomography.com/magazine/reviews/2013/07/10/lomopedia-ilford-xp2-super-400-black-and-white-35mm-film and the variety of results in the article are very different from my purple result.

It means the normal result of this film is black and white with a little help from grey

And NO Purple.
