Review on Lomo LC-A+ : An Amazing Story Teller

It is the camera that defines Lomography. Well, at least for me.

Three months ago, I added the LC -A+ into my camera collection. Since then, I have been carrying it with me for all kind of occasions. Its compact and elegant black outfit, with the attractive red signal led light has lured a lot of attention from my friends.

“NEW CAMERA AGAIN?”
“This is the legend! The definition of LOMO!”

There are so many analogue cameras out there but why LC-A?

I love how it turns every ordinary photograph to be unique. Its feature is not as distinct as the rounded 170 degree Fisheye framing, nor it is the elegant square frame which the Dianas provide, it is a kind of atmosphere or put it simply, FEELING.

Its strong contrast and slight curvi-linear shape has never failed to emphasize the details of the subject. The people in the portraits become a model with personality; the landscapes become movie scenes; the snapshots become an unintentional piece of art. It tells you the hidden story through painting its favourite canvas, let it be negative, slide or black and white.

It is as if this camera has its own soul, its own interpretation towards anything that passes through its lens. It is a story teller, who tells story by playing with the light.

In addition to its practicality, it is a very versatile camera. With all the accessories you can find in the online shop, it can become a popular instant camera (with MX capability), or even a wide angle monster.

Let’s tell a story with an LC-A+!
