Duel! Baby Fisheye with Tiger 200 vs. Diana Mini with X-Pro 200

Do you have any half-filled roll in more than one camera and you want to finish them? Do we play? On the way to your lab you can simply compare the type of photos you can take. It's easy: same place, same photo, same moment... But a different camera and type of film! Here are the results of an unexpected morning!

Sometimes you are eager to see the results of your last shots. You find unfinished films but you don’t want to waste them. Imagination to power! Anything quick with interesting results? You can get a lot of self-portraits, take a photo of your pet or just compare two ways of seeing life from your Lomo camera. What you dare!

I had my dear Diana Mini with Lomography X-Pro Slide 200 35mm film and my new Baby Fisheye with a Lomography Color Tiger ISO 200 110 film.

The idea came while I was walking on the way to the Lomography Gallery Store : I saw something nice and I looked through the viewer to see what camera was better to shoot… So I decided to do the same photo with both cameras, from the same place and in the same conditions!

The results have surprised me. On the one hand, comparing the cameras, I found that the Fisheye Baby has a wider frame of what you see through the viewer, you don’t need go away from goal! They look good on close-ups and the straight lines, the framing is perfect! The Diana Mini has more sharpness to the image and a more nostalgic frame. You can do awesome photos if you fit the parameters appropriately.

On the other hand, X-Pro Slide 200 film produces some very nice contrast, intensifies the shades of blue and green, and does not need excessive brightness. The film Tiger 200 gives a retro touch with amazing natural tones. It also provides sharpness but need plenty of light so that they do not get dark. The combination with a baby Fisheye is perfect for the day!

I am beginner in analogue photography. I learn a little more after each roll’s results are revealed. I’m delighted to experience this!

And you, what do you do when you want to finish films? Tell us!
