I like green. So Lomography XPro Slide 200 is my go-to slide film. Not matter what colors I shoot, I´ll often still have a greenish tinge over my (cross processed) photo. If there’s more light available, it becomes more subtle, in less light, the green gets stronger. I really love how in a lot of pictures, the colors are almost natural, but not just quite. While I like the spectacular color shifts of for instance Fuji slides, there’s something very satisfying in these more subtle shifts that enhance rather than change reality.

If there really is a lot of contrasty light available – a sunny day in the snow – you may be surprised by the brilliant blue colors this film produces. Always still with the greenish tints as well. All the brilliance I never managed with chrome, I finally achieved with X-pro 200!

I once messed up a roll: developed it in chemicals that had been recycled once too often. You can guess what happened: my pictures became even greener! (okay, so it was more muddy-water-green than fresh-springtime-green…).

All in all, I really love this film, it’s the perfect companion for my Yashica-D.
