First Shots with Belair X 6-12

When I first got my Belair X 6-12 I decided that I needed to try different films. Every result I got was better than the one before!

First I will give you some information about Belair X 6-12 it has a foldable system, it’s lenses can be changed, it has 3 different photo sizes and it is a middle format analogue camera. Newest member of lomography family :)

First of all you need to decide which size format you are going to shoot with in Belair X 6-12. There are different masks 6×6, 6×9 and 6×12 which you need to choose one from and put into the camera before you put the film in. Since you will be using middle format film, in different sizes you can take 12, 9, or 6 photos.

Second thing you need to choose is the lens. In plastic lens models you can choose from 90mm and 58mm lenses.

And of couse you have to choose a film type :) I used every option; colored negative, dia, black & white and redscale out of curiosity!

Here are my results:

6×9 landscapes with Lomography Redscale XR

6×6 buildings with Lomography Color Negative 400 ISO

6×12 Galata Tower and of course the tram with Lomography Lady Grey 400 ISO

6×9 Portrait trials with Lomography XPro Slide 200 ISO

I fell in love with Belair X 6-12 after every try! With this camera, I went back to the middle format that I have been avoiding for so long and I strongly recommend it!

There's a typo: "it’s lenses can be changed"
