When we bought the Lomo Life: The Future is Analogue book set, I just fell in love with the book detailing all the Lomography cameras from over the years. Here is my review of book I - the Cameras.
The Lomo Life Camera book is such a good way to commemorate all the Lomography has achieved over the last 20 years and therefore is the perfect product for their anniversary. It is so interesting to see the Lomo cameras in all their different designs laid out on every page, there are a lot of special editions and things that I have never even seen, but now love. The only problem is that it has made me want loads of new cameras (well done LSI).
It is also really good to get a few examples of photos that can be taken with each camera and it also goes into details about what accessories and film were used to create each sample photo in the book. This is really good as it lets you know exactly what products you need to achieve the look that you crave.
My only real criticism of this book is that it doesn’t draw many examples from the community as far as I can tell, and I think that for a lot of the examples, there are far better photos online that what they have used and I would maybe have liked to see a bit more of that printed in the Cameras book.
