Since I got the LC-Wide Instant Kit, I have been able to get a lot closer to the subject of my photographs than ever before. See below to find out more.
When I first got my Lomo LC-Wide, it was fair to say that I was happy with the results and I loved the wide angle photos it produced, a selection of which can be seen below.
Although I liked the pictures it produced, I was always a bit miffed as to why they didn’t look the same as they did when I had originally lined them up in my little viewfinder. I always seemed to be distinctly further away than I remembered when I had taken the photo and I wasn’t really sure how to fix this problem. When I went on a lomowalk in Manchester at the start of this year, someone informed me that the LC-Wide Instant Kit could be the answer to my prayers. Obviously the main purpose of the kit is to make it so that you can use the LC-Wide with the Instant Back but it comes also with a handy attachment for the viewfinder, which is a lot wider than the original one on the camera. I now use this on my LC-Wide all the time, so that I can get a better idea of what my photos are going to look like in the end.
You may think that it is quite pricey for what it is (it is almost £20), but I think that it makes my photos so much better and gives me a much more accurate representation of what will be in my photograph when I get it back from the lab. This has allowed me to line things up a lot better, and get a lot closer than ever before.
