Lomography CN 400 ASA 35mm: Perfect for my Fisheye 2

This summer I have had a lot of fun with my Fisyene 2 camera on the beaches of Emilia Romagna, in Italy. I used a Lomography CN 400, a great film in every light and contrast conditions.

This summer I tried this film putting a 35mm roll into my Fisheye 2 camera. This is a very bright season, so why I have used a 400 ISO film? Simple: because the 400 ISO films are more tolerant to overexposure, with respect to 100 ISO films, and the 400 ISO sensitivity allows me to take pictures from bright sun conditions to subjects in deep shadow. Here some shots taken in bright sunlight conditions:

Here a situation with a high contrast:

This film tolerates very well even 2 or 3 stop of overexposure, so you can easily use it even on a beach! And the good pose latitude allows you to capture details even in very high contrast conditions, from the most bright zones of the images to the parts situated in deep shadow.

The colors are well balanced and natural, and the grain size is limited. This is important especially for big enlargements and prints.

I love the great blue tones of this film, great for photos at the seaside!

A cheap film, great both for use in a “lomographyc” style and also for traditional photography!
