Let's Go to the Beach with Fuji Velvia 50!

Bring your Fuji Velvia 50 to the beach and see how it will surprise you! Take a look at some of my Fuji Velvia 50 photos taken at the beach after the jump!

Woke up at 8 am on a Tuesday and off I went to the beach with my friends that came back from Melbourne. Yeah, I know how sarcastic it sounds to bring someone from Australia to the beach in Penang Island. But hey! It’s different when you go to the beach with ME, because I bring my lomo-cam-friends along! Alright, I’ll cut the crap and get to the point.

So, Fuji Velvia 50 is obviously an ISO 50 film, and I did get a little worried that my photos will be underexposed. So I did not try it out until this trip to the beach. I was playing around with the ISO settings of my LC-A+ and most of the photos turned out greenish/blueish like these:

But what surprised me was that these photos that turned out to be a bit purple-ish instead of the usual greenish/blueish. PLUS, it has a more vintage feeling to it! I have always had a thing for purple.

I really loved the the photos Velvia 50 produces and I would definitely try it out at night, with a flash of course! I hope this article helped you out and increased your curiosity on the Fuji Velvia 50. That’s all for now!

Fuji Velvia 50 RVP 35mm is super-saturated and as high-res as film can get. When cross-processed, greens become greener and reds and yellows pop. See the whole range of colour slides in our Shop.

The Lomo LC-A+ is known worldwide for its amazing features: automatic exposure, extended ISO range, and multiple and long exposure capabilities. Get your own Lomo LC-A+ now!
