Picture-Perfection with Lomo LC-Wide

There were several reasons why I decided to buy a Lomo LC-Wide and because it belongs to the cameras you must start saving money few months ahead before you actually buy it, it was a long thinking process. But after almost a year of using it, I have to say that Lomo LC-Wide is worth every penny, and I really mean it!

The first reason why Lomo LC-Wide won my heart before I could have held it in my hands, were the several formats of photos, it offers – full frame, half-frame, square, and endless panorama. Then it is using a 35 mm film which is easy to get and load and later I really found out that this little camera is making no problems with film loading (basically, you can do it with closed eyes because of the little teeth on the take-up spool).

The guarantees of the perfect photos are super-wide 17mm Minigon Ultra-Wide Angle lens, auto-exposure, lightning-quick focusing and easy choice between two distances (0.4m – 0.9m, 0.9m – infinity). Usually the focusing and light conditions were very difficult for me to judge and choose, but with Lomo LC-Wide, I have no such problems.

This camera is also very suitable for night photography or for long exposure photos inside and without using the flash. I was desperate to try it on my new tripod and the results were, as you may see, marvellous. The release cable is a part of the package, so it means no problems with shaking and unstable hands!

Lomo LC-Wide is also perfect for experimenting. Multiple exposures can be done with the help of independent MX switch and it means no more of unwanted multiple exposures! Even splitzing of the pictures is possible, with the help of homemade splitzer (see this article for example).

To sum up, Lomo LC-Wide is here to take any kind of photos from your journeys, everyday adventures, self-portraits (which became my personal favourite and I have to tell you that before I hated taking pictures of myself), getting closer and closer to your object, beautiful sceneries and many many more. And the quality of these shots is really something you are looking for.

The Lomo LC-Wide boasts the newly-developed 17mm Minigon Ultra-Wide Angle lens. This 35mm camera wonder is the perfect companion for your photo expeditions. It produces eye-catching splashes of colour with astonishing saturation and contrasts with the added versatility of 3 different formats. Open up to a new photographic experience with the LC-Wide, available in our Shop.

Great review and some lovely shots. Tbh i dont see the point in the multiple formats if im honest, when you have a half frame mask in the lens doesnt act as a 17mm lens, and the whole point of the lc-w is to be wide, just my opinion still a lovely camera though and when shot full frame produces lovely images.
