The moment her flash stopped working, my whole lomo journey crumbled. It's a bittersweet love story, I must say. Read about my Holga story after the jump.
My lomography journey started or influenced was by my girlfriend, Jasleen, who got herself a Holga 135BC from her sister on her birthday. Before that, she had always wanted to have a Holga and she started rambling about how good it was, etc. I was skeptical and doubtful, until one day…
I found myself getting a Holga 120 GCFN, Multicolor Version.
Colors have always been my priority in my design and in everything I see, even in the ads. To cut short, I love colors, oh so much and that was the reason I reached for the Holga 120GCFN Multicolor Version right here in Singapore.
I took the jump, my first jump into my the lomography world! Few months later, her flash died. The moment the flash stopped working, my whole lomo journey crumbled.
I didn’t want to replace her; no, I wouldn’t!
So, I searched online on how to repair or fix the problem, and it felt so painful seeing her being torn apart. Shortly after, I gave up and just used it without flash for a week, and then I said to myself, " Why not try again…"
Then, I inserted new batteries and her flash worked!!! I’m a happy man!
Below are few of the shots I’ve taken using my beloved Holga 120GCFN:
But my craze don’t just stop there; a few months later, I lost the Holga lenscap, and what a better way to replace it? DIY OF COURSE!
AND I DIDN’T STOP THERE EITHER! I equipped it with Lomography Ringflash, skins, and much more!
