Never ever underestimate the power of this cheap, rubber, plastic camera: the Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim! Let me tell you why after the jump!
I saw and have read few reviews here about the Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim and I told myself, I can’t believe it.
How can something so simple, lightweight, and has plastic lens take wide angle photos? Why not leave it to the Horizon cameras or the LC-Wide?
Until one day, while I was searching for the legendary Vivitar over at the local forums, I came across a guy selling his Superheadz Ultra Wide Angle (similar to the Vivitar UWS), for just SGD10!
I hesitated no longer, grab my cell and head out to deal the camera.
Truly at first, I always have the doubt of cheap plastic camera, but deep inside, somewhere deep inside told me to just go ahead and try! Don’t Think, Just Shoot…
I headed to the lab and grabbed a roll of expired T64.
“Oh great! I know nothing about the camera and I’m shooting with expired films. Great,” I thought to myself.
I dragged a few of my friends along and headed out to to play! I was shooting non-stop, my fingers couldn’t stop pressing the shutter. click click click
Look right. Click Look left. Click Look up. Click Look down. Click That was how I went shooting with it.
I’m impressed.
Do remember not to place your fingers too near the lens when you snap your photos. If not, you’ll surely see your fingers in the photos, like mine.
