I have to admit, I wasn’t a big fan of using a flash. I was more the “go out and catch the sunlight” type of guy. That was, until I met Mr. Fritz the Blitz, and he’s been a true game changer. Read more about it after the jump!
Okay, so let’s break it down a bit. The first thing that comes to mind when you see a Fritz the Blitz Flash are those vintage flashes reporters used in the old days. Those that you had to replace the bulb every time you used them, which by the way goes great with the whole vintage thing the La Sardina Cameras are going for! Let’s face it, it kind of makes you look like an old-school journalist.
The flash connector is designed to fit perfectly with your La Sardina camera as you can see in these photos:
That’s where the adapter kit included in the Fritz the Blitz Flash Package comes in. With this small adapter, you can broaden Mr. Fritz the Blitz’s horizons and use it with any camera that has a hot shoe. Don’t worry, most of Lomography’s cameras have one and the Diana F+ comes with an extra adapter for it, and pretty much all SLR, DSLR, and Rangefinder cameras have a hot shoe too! Take a look at these photos and check out how to use the adapter kit with several cameras:
I personally like the fact that the Fritz the Blitz Flash is very powerful, and at the same time, you can adjust it depending on how far your subject is.
Another thing I discovered about this awesome flash is that it has a very fast recharge speed. This means it takes less time to be ready to shoot again, which makes it perfect to use with the LomoKino.

One more thing that comes with your Fritz the Blitz Flash are the snap-on color filters. They come really handy when you want to add some color to your shots, or you want the light blast to expand on a more even way.
So there you go, if you’re thinking about getting yourself a flash, don’t hesitate and get yourself a Fritz the Blitz Flash!

great review!!! you say that it recharges fast, but how fast?
guanatos
hey @maria_vlachou thanks!!!
I can't tell you exactly how fast the flash recharges, what I can tell you it's fast enough that when you're using a lomokino it will blast on every turn of the crank at a "regular speed" hope it's helpful ;)
