My Sprocket Rocket is Ready to Take Off!

My orange Sprocket Rocket never leaves me, it always has a place of its own in my bag. Whenever I chance upon something unique, it will come to my rescu, to capture my favorite moment in film. I was excited when I first received my funky orange Sprocket Rocket last October, and now I am even more excited to share with you my experience with shooting with the amazing camera upon receiving my first roll of film.

I could hear my orange love screaming to me as I unpacked my new-found baby, the Sprocket Rocket Orange. His body, with the shocking orange outfit he was wearing, just makes me love him more. As soon as I held him in my hands, I knew I made the right choice, he was the one for me.

Almost immediately, I equipped him with my favorite 35mm roll and brought him out for a walk. I have to say that the best thing about him is that he gives me so much control! I can always wind and rewind the film as and when I like to create stunning multiple exposure photos.

Frankly speaking, I have to admit I could not understand him fully at first. I tend to miss the small white indications he gave me to allow me to know where is my next frame. However, as I spend more time with him, our relationship became better and I am able to catch his ‘hints’ (white dots) better. One tip I’ve learned is to keep your eye on him while winding, so you will never miss the indications!

I love the babies we produced together; the beauty of panoramic photographs is amazing. I will not say I am an expert in using the Sprocket Rocket for now, but one thing I’m sure is that I will bring him out for walks more often to build our relationship. Hopefully, one day, together with my orange baby, we would produce fantastic photographs!

The Sprocket Rocket is the world’s first wide-angle camera dedicated entirely to sprockets. And now it’s available in the freshest hues—blue, green, orange, and yellow. The Sprocket Rocket Superpop! features super wide-angle lens that captures the entire width of film and scrolling knobs for easy multiple exposures. Available in our Shop.
