The Kodak Cameo is a small camera that is very easy to use. It gave me results that made me jump for joy. Even if I've only shot two rolls, it's clear that it is a good camera that's going to make me very happy.
I went with a friend to a second hand shop in which I found this cute camera for only €0.50! I felt like a little girl who goes to the dog pound and instantly wants to save a puppy. I could’t help buying my “little puppy camera!”
On my way home, I went to a photography shop and I bought the only film they had: A Fuji C200. I am a newbie lomographer, and since previously I had only tried 400 ISO films, I was a little scared about how the results would be. Moreover, the ridiculous price didn’t make me feel very confident about the camera.
I immediately got to like this super resistant and cute camera, because you can use it with almost any kind of film: you can set it to 100/200 ISO films or to 400 ISO films. Since I know very little about photography, this made me more confident, and that’s why I think it’s a good camera for newbies like me.
The results with the first Fuji C200 film were great, I think they get along perfectly! The color, and the green and blue shades are great, and it has a fine grain.
My second film was a Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 400, and even if the colors are also great, it’s too grainy for my taste, and I think that only few of the photos are worth sharing.
My favorite shot, by far, is this one:
