Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim (UWS) was my first toy camera. It was the beginning of my love towards Lomography.
Here’s the technical specification of this little beauty:
Lens: 22mm wide angle
Shutter speed: 1/125
Aperture: f11
Weight: 75g
Film type: 35mm
Camera type: Compact camera
Source: Camerapedia
Advantages
I think this camera offers a lot of advantages. This camera is very user-friendly and easy to operate. It has fixed shutter speed and aperture setting, so it is suitable for a beginner who wants to start experimenting in Lomography. It doesn’t require battery and so light-weight that carrying a UWS in your bag feels like carrying nothing at all. Even though the UWS is a very simple camera, it has film counter so you won’t lose track on how many shots have you take. The interesting part about this camera is, it produces picture with vivid colours and remarkable vignette effect.
Anyway, what I like most about this camera (other than its affordable price) is its main feature: mind-blowing 22mm wide angle. Personally, I think it is perfect to shoot in narrow places because it will emphasize the space.
Disadvantages
The disadvantage for UWS is that it has no flash, so you have to use it under bright sun or you’ll get underexpose pictures. This camera is not suitable for indoor shooting due to its fixed aperture and shutter speed.
One of my indoor-shoot that got underexposed
Other than that, you need to be very careful with your fingers. The lens is very wide that you might shoot your own fingers and damaged the picture. I got my finger on a few of my pictures during my first roll. Quite bad but lesson learned!
To sum everything up, I think Vivitar UWS is a good starter and a must-have camera for every Lomo-Lover!

Awesome shots :) I read once to always hold this camera like you would a hamburger, or sandwich, gripping the top and bottom.

This a lovely little camera which is very affordable and packs and real punch. Super-wide lens is the best like you said - just maintain that "hamburger hold"!
