The Sudden La Sardina

La Sardina charmed me from the first sight in real life. I was not planning to buy it, but now it's one of my favorite camera. This is a great gift!

I did not think that La Sardina will be with me. When the camera was announced, I found it funny to look at, but nothing more. However, a couple of months ago, I won in the competition “City Lights” held by the Lomography Embassy Russia and got this camera. It was a great gift.

Lomography keeps introducing more and more quality products. La Sardina had me already with the package – very stylish cardboard box, camera with good quality plastic and finish. Included in the package were flash, filters, a beautiful album with photos and instructions, and a poster for the wall.

I really like the pictures produced by the lenses of the La Sardina: sharp in the middle and slightly blurry around the edges, in the best traditions of plastic lenses. And, of course, wide-angled.

But contrary to the tradition of lomography love and emotions (LOve & MOtion) my pictures may seem sad. Well, I admit it. I think that the La Sardina – sad camera. For example, the only possible aperture to f / 8 says that the camera is well suited for shooting in cloudy weather. While most everything that I say – stupidity, I just see the world so as it turns out. Since, obviously, I want.

I had little use for my camera’s multiple exposure and color flash capabilities of flashes. Also, I have never loaded it with slide! This is my Lomography sin. For me, La Sardina was created only for negative film, both color and black and white.

I shot a few films of La Sardina in Rybinsk and a couple in Moscow. I think it’s a bit symbolic (Rybinsk from Russian language can be translated as “Fishtown”). Most have not yet succeeded, but it does not matter. You can see the essence of my soul through the lens of La Sardina. We are not digital photographers who see the camera simply as a tool. I always thought that Lomographer must feel his camera. But all this may be my imagination.

I hope I’m not puzzling you too much. The camera will shoot as you want! Just try to understand it and you will succeed. I just showed you my pictures and told what I feel in a few words. Enjoy the shooting!
