LC-A+ White Japan Edition: My Bestest Camera

The LC-A+ White Japan Edition is the best camera I own, not only for its stylish and pure look, but the way it makes my photos super duper!

I wanted an LC-A+ White Japan Edition when it came out in 2010 for the 25th anniversary. I thought (aside from the fact that it just looked amazing and beautiful) there was something special about it coming out the very year I turned 25, making me and the camera the same age. I couldn’t afford one however and was very depressed at the start of 2011 when it appeared to have sold out everywhere in the UK as well as online.

I then decided I would save my piggies and get the Russia Day LC-A+ when that came out earlier this year and all hope of the White Edition had been long lost. During my trip to New York however in September, a sale had been advertised at the Gramercy store, and even though my suitcase was all packed up and ready, I had to pop along and have a look. The lady in the store was super helpful (thanks store lady whose name I didn’t catch) and helped me along with all the things I was buying, and when I asked her about the Russia Day, just to see if I could afford it, she got one out to show me. It was nice and I liked it, but then I spotted a shiny white one on a shelf in the background. I knew I had to have it, and as there was a sale on, and it was the last one in stock and the accessories were missing I got it at a bargain price – in case anyone is wondering I am the proud owner of number 223 of 1000 made!

I love this camera. For a start it just looks so much more exciting than my plain black LC-A (sorry LC-A) and less people have it so it feels a bit special every time I take it out of my camera bag. Of course, it has the same great functions as the original LC-A but an extended ISO range of up to 1600 (though grrrr LSI for taking 50 ISO away). It is compatible with all the new accessories that do not fit the LC-A original model so that is another bonus. Plus, it has the multiple exposure function so that can be a lot of fun (when I remember to use it!).

All in all I cannot faults in this camera at all. I think Lomography does a great job with the limited editions so please LSI, keep up the good work!
