The only word can described this film is "surprise". Unexpected color makes me feel surprised again and again. Purple and red, makes my every single picture become more eye-catching and more artistic.
This is the first time that I am trying this latest film. The first time I noticed that the package of Lomography X Tungsten, I thought, “OMG, it is only ISO 64!” What if I didn’t shoot suitably and experienced lack of lighting, my picture would totally burn and be gone. However, in the end, the result is truly not what I expected. That day, I was having a street shoot and burned 2 rolls of tungsten film continuously. I set the ISO to 100, but it was not as dark as I imagined and turned out fantastically, fine purple and red in color.
My 3rd roll of tungsten was used in Bangkok,Thailand. This time, I turned the ISO to 200. It’s better than I imagined as well, still purple and red definitely, but the color seems to have more contrast. After this roll, I am very sure I have completely fallen in love in this film.
Some people would ask me why I like these kinds of pictures: redscale film with yellowish tones, Fuji Provia film with blue color, Agfa CT with green color. Now, it even turned to be more abnormal, red and purple, which means tungsten film! I don’t know the reason why, I just love it for no reason.
