Diana+ Splitzer Review

I had bought the Splitzer shortly after I got my Diana F+ Dreamer. Those amazing pictures done with a splitzer had really impressed me. It's a totally great piece of plastic which can absolutely spice your photos up.

The Diana+ Splitzer fits on almost every Diana F+ lens but unfortunately not on the close-up lens. It is really easy to use. You just have to put it on your lens like you do with your lens cap. Now, you can turn the whole splitzer and as well the blue shade and set the opening to expose only a half, three eights, one quarter or one eight of the frame. Therefore, you can split your picture in multiple parts.

If you want to cut the picture in two or more strictly separated and rigid parts, the Diana+ Splitzer isn’t the right accessory for you. It lets your two exposed pieces get blended. That’s why you’re able to get pictures which don’t look like they were done with the splitzer. That works when the background of the differently exposed parts is the same or similar to it.

Two cats? Nope, I just used the splitzer.

Feel free to shoot your object in different perspectives, or put similar things together, or combine objects which really don’t fit together, or make different objects look like they belong together. Or what about firstly exposure the whole frame and then secondly only a quarter? Give your creativity free rein!

Slice and dice your dreamy Diana images with the Diana+ Splitzer! Two small plastic blades can be turned to cut your image into halves, quarters, eighths, and sixteenths. Image parts bleed seamlessly into on another. The Diana+ Splitzer easily slips on and off the Diana+ lens and works with all Lomography Diana+ and Diana F+ cameras.
