This is a review of my one and only favorite film: Fujichrome Provia 400X!
This is my first time I used the Fujichrome Provia 400X film with an expiry date of September 2010 with my favorite camera, the Sprocket Rocket. It is a color reversal film with ISO 400, which is suitable for shooting outdoors. In Malaysia, the film is very difficult to find in the market, and I were fortunate enough to have the chance of using it.
I used this film during the event Urbanscapes 2011. Weather at that time was quite variable, cloudy and hot. I felt very worried if it become overcast, and I would feel lost because the film worth RM20.
Urbanscapes is held annually, which is the first and only all-day “user-generated” creative arts festival. There are stage performances by indie bands, booths selling vintage and current clothing, booths selling cameras and exhibition booth. There is the place where people gathered to listen to music and meet friends.
After I sent the film to the lab, I want to see the results eagerly because my friends have never try using it before. It produces a yellowish tint, and it is beautiful. The result is very satisfying and I want to try it again!
The Sprocket Rocket is the first wide-angle camera dedicated entirely to sprockets. And with dual winding knobs for easy multiple exposures, there is no limit to your analogue creativity with this panoramic wonder. See the Sprocket Rocket in our Shop!
