Kodak Portra 400 VC: Where the Colors are Vivid

The vivid Kodak Portra 400 VC is the perfect choice for both low quality toy cameras and for high quality 120 format cameras. Get colorful pictures with this 400 ISO film under any lightning conditions!

Medium or 120 format film is a strange thing: We use it with cheap toy cameras and with Rolleiflex and Hasselblad cameras alike. We adore light leaks and soft focus but also love the great resolution and sharpness only the 6×6 negatives can deliver.

The Kodak Portra 400 VC can be perfectly used in most toy cameras due to its high sensitivity. While it produces vivid and bold colors the skin tones tend to be a little to reddish sometimes. A little tweaking while scanning can fix this minor drawback perfectly.

I really love the bold colors together with the square format when shooting simple compositions and geometrical shapes the most.

Since the VC 400 was produced in large numbers, there is a good chance to pick up some rolls, don´t be afraid if it’s expired because the results will be awesome nevertheless.

The Kodak Portra 400 VC 120 is a true professional`s choice. This portrait film yields great contrast and slamming colours, giving your shots a subtle x-pro look (without the x-pro)! See the whole range of colour negatives in our Shop.

recently bought some Portra 400VC expired since 2007, loose a lot of sensivity and the images had a deep blue dominant.
