THE LOMOLUCK Fifth Issue: The La Sardina

The Lomoluck showed up again! It couldn't resist the last launch of Lomography: The La Sardina.

The launch party of La Sardina in Madrid’s Lomo-embassy was amazing; our beloved Spanish Lomo-team did a great work once again. For this party, they told us to dress up as fishermen, sailors, or whatever related to the sea. “The best outfits would be rewarded with something special at the end of the night”, they said, so I showed up dressed like this:

At first it was a little embarrassing, but my friend Peich encouraged me, and a lady on the corner told me I was beautiful, so I was trapped in the body of a voracious sardine the whoooole night. And it was worth, for me and for three other sailors:

Here, you can check all technical details. I’m going to tell you about my first impression, people say it’s a very important impression, or should I say my first roll-impression?

1. The first is its appearance. Yes guys, not to be frivolous or anything, but when you see the La Sardina you immediately fall in love. There are four fun designs that really stand out.

2. La Sardina camera is fast and super-easy to use, that’s why it comes with fitted with just two simple focusing settings. You will catch anything you want to!

3. That wide wide angle I love! Get close, very close, closer, don’t be afraid, it won’t bite you.

4. The La Sardina is built for ultimate multiple-exposure experimentation.

5. Once the La Sardina’s shutter has been flicked into “Bulb” mode, a whole world of long nighttime exposure experimentation opens up!, they say, because we couldn’t try that, after some gin-tonics we thought the pictures would come out a bit blurred… :P

6. A great flash, which is not only very nice, but is adjustable in intensity and has a diffusing filter and three color filters.

I am delighted with La Sardina and grateful to lomoluck. I think this easy camera can do many experimental things; it uses 35mm film which is very useful, the lens is great, it’s beautiful, and a good prize. Anyone wishing to enter to the analog world should consider La Sardina very very seriously.

Just a warning: If the lens barrel is pressed against the camera’s body, you can’t take photos; hold it and pull it away from the camera to shoot. Now twist it to the left (if you are looking at the front of the camera) UNTIL YOU FEEL IT LOCK. Your La Sardina is now LOCKED and ready for action!

PS. And remember, if you give this article a “like” you’ll have 7 years of lomoluck…

Get ready to sail the high seas with our new La Sardina collection! These 35mm cameras are equipped with spectacular wide-angle lens, multiple exposure capabilities, and a rewind dial—everything you need for fun-filled and thrill-soaked escapades. Get your own La Sardina camera now!
