Agfa CT Precisa (Made in EU): Pretty Blue

I have tried 2 rolls of the old version of Agfa CT 100 (Made in EU), on my LC-A+ and Fisheye. They gave me quite good results.

Well, first of all, there are two versions of Agfa CT Precisa 100: the new one and the old one. The new one is made in Japan with FujiFilm, whereas the old version is made in EU. There is a subtle difference in the size of the box, as well as the photo on the box. I bought 3 rolls of CT 100, 2 old and 1 new. I have got the results of the old version, yet haven’t had the new one developed.

In my Fisheye camera, the CT Precisa gives an amazing blue color. Its blueness is very beautiful and hard to describe. I think that this film and Kodak 320T is probably the best films in taking the blue sky. Yet, the tone of blue is different in the two types of film. However, it should be noted that the tone after cross-processing can be very different, as there are quite a lot of variables. The blue color in the film is very intense and it is fabulous under a clear blue sky in a sunny day. However, it is also perfectly fine in taking portraits, and does not scare your subject off!

It is not too grainy after cross-processing. Yet, it is inevitable that it will be more grainy, compared to color negatives of the same ISO.

When CT Precisa is coupled with LC-A+, the color becomes more intense generally. Notwithstanding, there is not a particular color that it is stressed. It is also very good in taking pictures of portrait as well as landscape.
