Get Creative with Overlapping Images with the LOMO LC-Wide!

The half-frame format of the LOMO LC-Wide enables you to create amazing dreamlike overlapped images.

The main reason of getting my hands on the LOMO LC-Wide is its ability to create overlapped images. Its wide-angle lens is attractive nonetheless. So now, how to go about capturing overlapping images? Well…It sure is an easy-peasy job. All you have to do is switch the Advancing Control Switch to “HF” mode and with the Lens Cover Switch to “FF” step, then fire the shutter away!

Easy peasy. But, please do not follow the instructions for the half-frame format in the manual that comes with the camera.

So let’s start shooting! The trick here is first take a single shot, continue shooting on the same frame, with yourself facing to the left or right, make a 180〫degree turn, place the camera at a slanted angle, you can even turning the camera upside down or point the camera to a different subject from the previous one. I bet you have just created some amazing overlapping dreamlike images!

The ultimate point here is as with the LOMO 10 Golden Rules: Don’t think, Just Shoot!. So start firing the shutter away. In this way, you can easily fire up to 72 times with one roll of film!

I am really looking forward to do this with my camera... Are you sure that it is HF for the lens cover as well? I would have though it is FF for the lens cover... The pictures look amazing by the way...

And in the same way, I imagine we don't have to use the HF mask.. So all we have to do is switch on the HF mode and overlap. Is that it? How can we prevent an endless panorama?

    1. switch on HF mode and open FF lens cap?
    2. How to prevent the endless panorama?

And the pictures seems like it took three shots in a photo. Wonder how it works. =S

velocity89, yes, there are three images in one photo.
if you'd like to take photos like my works, switch on HF mode and open lens cap fully.
How to prevent the endless panorama, you can simply throw in a blank image by covering up the lens with your hand. But I've never tried it .Pls see this page( http://microsites.lo(…)ormatfrenzy )
    Have a enjoy !!
