Fuji Velvia 100, a 35mm slide film first produced in 2005, is unarguably one of the most popular films amongst budding analog photographers today. And quite rightly so -- when used in the right conditions with the right camera, the film produces stunning images unparalleled by any other.
On a recent trip to Kenya, I had the chance to use this film for the very first time, and was blown away after receiving the photos back from the lab. When cross processed, the film produces soft, dreamy images bathed in hues of pink and red.
Taken during a safari at Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya.
Perhaps what I liked most about the film was that these tones were subtle, rather than overpowering. Hints of green, yellow, blue could still be seen in my photos.
So far, I’ve only tried the film outdoors, and have no complaints whatsoever about the results. Since the film is one with a low ISO, I do imagine that it would yield its best results in bright sunlight. However, I definitely plan to buy more rolls of this film in the future to see what kind of results I can get indoors as well!

@nerpman: i would like to try E6 processing but sadly i don't think there's any place in Singapore that does this :(
Velvia is a gorgeous film, don't x process it, if you wanna see the real beauty in this film put it though e6. Its high contrast and high saturation is not miles away the precisa when xpro'ed but better cos half your shots want be ruined from the xprocessing.

I personally have to say that in a straight shoot out I prefer Lomography 100 Xpro chrome to Velvia 100. It's so much nicer!
