Rollei Nightbird (35mm, 800iso): Your Photos Drenched in Wine

This is a different kind of redscale film, from the famous Rollei brand, another member of the "creative edition" series.

When Rollei launched its “creative edition” series, this particular film, the Rollei Nightbird, called my attention. If there was already another redscale film in that series (Rollei Redbird), why would this be a different choice? Well, it was said that this film was an 800 ISO redscaled film, and then you could shoot pictures in mildly-low light situations without underexposure. When it became available at the online shop where I buy some of my films I decided to give this a try.

It is kind of easy to find this film at online shops, however, you don’t see much samples of pictures from it or reviews over the internet. And that made me even more curious to try this film.

As my official film-testing camera (Canon A1) had half a roll of Portra inside of it, I decided to use the Vivitar UWS (Superheadz clone) to try it. I took it on a trip i made to Buenos Aires and tried shooting at different times of the day, to see how the film performs, and if it could yield nice images in low light situations.

And here are the pics:

Defiiately, it is a film worth to try, maybe if I used a camera which I could play with ISO, shutter speeds and aperture, I could get a better conclusion about it. I should test it indoors too.
