Got an old camera and a hot shoe flash? Don't panic, you can make the camera talk to your modern flash. Even Diana flashes work. So take your old ladies out in the evening and show them a good time.

I collect Russian cameras. They date from the 1940s to the 1980s. My beloved Cmena 2 – 8M were doomed to only be used in day time as my lovely ladies did not have the correct shoe to talk to my Holga or Diana flash units.

I talked to my husband, who mentioned a PC flash adaptor. It converts the old attachment to talk to the hotshoe of the flash.

I did an internet search and LO and Behold! For around $35AU I get a little cable. Hmmm In Sydney you can get them from digital camera warehouse. For everyone else you are looking for a Hama Hot Shoe Adapter 2 with Male PC Cable. Google it and you should find one near you.

The little cable arrived two days later. I was skeptical but I attached the cable to my Cmena 8M and to my surprise, the Coloursplash Flash worked perfectly.

So below, I have demonstrated this using my oldest lady. Let Cmena 2 show you how versatile this little cable is. Any flash will work, even the Diana F+ flash.

The world would be a far better place if we all had and used a pc flash adaptor.

will this adaptor work with the new Fisheye 110? I have been trying to have a look at the PC flash adaptor on the US site, but I'm here in Australia and it keeps redirecting me back to the australian site which keeps coming up with a error.
