It seems incredible that even in a digital world new products appear on the market for photographic film. Kodak surprises us all with an innovative and quality emulsion.
Surprising everyone Kodak launches a new emulsion in 2009, it is colour negative film (C-41) ISO 100 and initially only for 35mm, later also for 120. Very fine grain has a higher colour saturation than Kodak Portra vivid colours which makes it an excellent choice for those who enjoy intense colours without resorting to cross slide. In addition, It’s easy to scan.
It is usually cheaper than Portra VC although you can’t find this film everywhere. It is certainly my first choice as a color negative for all types of settings (landscape, portrait …).
Do not hesitate to try some rolls if you have a chance.

Great shots! What camera are these taken with? I'm suspecting some sort of Nikon for some reason. I'm with Mephisto19, I've got 2 rolls of 35mm and 4 rolls of 120, but it is reserved for a special occassion.
It's also in sheet film too! I have heard that it doesn't have a wide exposure latitude and it is best rating at 80 iso, any truth in that?

@nicolas_noir: I used an Olympus OM4 with zuiko 50mm f1.8 or 85mm f2 (for portraits). I didn't noticed any exposure latitude issue with this film, it works pretty similar to other 100ISO C41 emulsions that I tested.

om4?! Jealous! And of the 85mm f2 too! I'm thinking of putting one of my rolls through my om2 with my zuiko 50mm f1.4 and 24mm f2.8. Thanks for the tip on the latitude, the expsoure meter is fairly accurate outdoors and I don't think I'll be using it in backlit scenarios so should be ok!

This film is not cheap in Singapore as it costs almost the same as Fuji Velvia slide film. This has stopped me from checking it out. Can anyone share how Kodak Ektar stacks up with Lomo iso100film?
