...When it arrived at my doorstep, I was so excited! Yup, being a beta tester makes you feel like you are the luckiest lomographer in the world.
Emm, when I saw the camera, my 1st impression was that the camera looks like a submarine or an outer space object. It looked weird, but I could see from the viewfinder, wow.. it´s so wide.
Before I went and tested it and took some pictures, I took the camera and studied it´s functions. The first thing I thought was that the the body was made from the same material like the fisheye2 camera. The functions looked like the Diana F+´s , 2 focus settings, 0.6m to 1cm and 1m to infinity, as well as the same N and B shutter modes. The camera also had two aperture settings like the holga camera, a 30mm lens,106 degree,1:10.8. And I also noticed a standard hotshoe to attach the flash. I thought, this is a wide lens or maybe a super wide lens sprocket hole camera using a 35mm film and snap for 19 frames when using 36 exposure film. So, if you are diana user, I think it´s no
problem to handle this camera. It´s lightweight and easy to use.
After playing around with it for some time, I realized that when I shoot indoor or night photography, this camera needs a powerful flash with 2 or more batteries… The colourflash experiment I was trying was not as successful and the pictures were a bit too dark, but maybe that was my mistake by not changing the settings before I shot the pictures.
Overall I like this camera for the sprocket hole effect, the wide lens. If I had to give it a number, I would give this camera an 8/10.. thanks to LSI for letting me try it out!
