Oktomat: Point, Click, Whiirrssclick!

I’m a multi-lens camera freak, and Oktomat never fails to freak me out. Well, in a good way!

Oktomat is not your ordinary point-and-shoot, multi-lens film camera. It has eight small lenses that can capture eight images in a single frame. It takes 2.5 seconds to make a picture, enough time to shift your subject in different positions.

I often use this camera to take shots of moving objects like vehicles, pets, and pretty much anything under the sun. The shifting patterns can be very bizarre, depending on the film ISO, light conditions and the way you click on the shutter button. Light leaks also happen once in a while. Based on experience, I’ve had impressive results shooting in bright daylight since it has no flash.

Oktomat takes any 35mm film and is very easy to load, even an 8-year old kid can do it. It is lightweight and very durable too. The camera body is made of hard plastic so you don’t have to worry about breaking it. Most of all, it is easy to use! Forget about the viewfinder.

Wind. Point.
Voila, mission accomplished!

I highly recommend Oktomat to anyone who wants to try out something fun and exciting! You can experiment different variations with this toy camera. The only limitation is your imagination!
