Perutz Primera (35mm, 200 iso) User-Review

A film which is not known to most of us…or so I think it is. Move aside Lucky Super New, I found a new replacement! Oohh, was I harsh?!

Ok I’ll get to the review. When I received the film, I was looking at it with full attention. Checking it out from all sides, freaky? NOT. Turns out this film is under the production of Agfa, Perutz was acquired by Agfa around the 1960’s. It is also rumored that Perutz was one of the first German film manufacturers. In some forums, they say that Agfa handed their CT precisa film to Perutz to repackage them and sell it at a lower price under the name Perutz, let’s search for that one!

This film is now my favorite negative film for outdoor conditions (I haven’t tried shooting with it at night or indoors because it is at an iso level of 200). When I got the results back from the lab, I was surprised with the photos I took. Because this film gave me the true colors of what I see with my naked eye. Some films give you less or more color shifts. But this gives you the right and true color of what we see, and it comes out crisp, if you get what I mean. To me it has smooth grain, not the grain which will bother you or which would act as noise on a lovely photograph. The colors are well balanced, and let me stress it out again, what you see is what you get but even better! I’m not sure if it’s available in most countries, but if you have it at a store nearby, I would buy a bundle if I were you. This film is already hard for me to find. Enjoy this film when you can!

I like the natural colors. They aren't drained at all like many films.
