A rare duplicating slide film at 3 ISO!
Do you know that feeling when you have something special you want to keep it? Even if you know deep in your heart that it is going to be beautiful experience upon using it?
Well, i saw a film once in a shop and thought about buying it. It was expensive but I was curious. Kodak EDUPE, a copying film. Later I realised it was something to use when reproducing or copying slides – the analogue way. Okay, So I kept it in my fridge a week, a month, a year or longer and finally used it on a walk outside around lake Steinhude with my Horizon Kompakt.
What excites me about the film is that I did not know a thing. I had to call Kodak Germany to get an information paper, explaining to me how to figure out what iso this film is and how to use it and they told me it is a three iso film (!!!), but there are also one and two ISO available, but i have never seen this film again.
So on that note, I took some shots on a cloudy day with horizon on night mode you can see what came out: blueish, cold, but somehow natural, too. A bit blurry (I was shaking because of the cold) but it was really great! If you can ever manage to get this film and are willing to spend lots of money, you should try it. It is really worth it!

Some great dreamy shots in the gallery (specially love n°2, 4 and 13) and this very surprising film seems to be the perfect one for some very loooong exposures :)))

Wonderful gallery... especially # 13!!! This film isn't very practical, but for art it's glorious. Too bad it's probably no longer made. #'s 1,2,3,4, really great also!! We need to get Kodak to release their still manufactured strange films on 120 and 35mm, especially Aerochrome III. Presently, it only comes in 9.5in x 400ft rolls for K7 aero cameras and the cameras on U-2's and SR-71's. None of us own any of these platforms. We're not nation states.

hmm. i have a couple of rolls of "ektachrome slide duplicating film" in my fridge that expired in 1997. there's no iso anywhere on the packaging and i've never been sure what to do with it. now i'm going to shoot it for sure and see what happens. thanks for the article!

I just found the pdf for this film: http://www.kodak.com(…)9/e2529.pdf
"Although its primary application is producing duplicate slides, you can also use this film for making copy slides of high-contrast color reflection prints"
What does it mean by duplicate film? Copying films? Please someone explain it to me :D Thanks!
