I was amazed and slightly jealous of the results that spawned from letting my girlfriend use my Diana.
I got in to Lomography about a month ago. I bought a Lomography Diana+ at an antique shop and I was hooked. I immediately bought some film and commenced to shooting. Since then I have started collecting and shooting various vintage cameras.
As I became more interested in my recent TLR purchases I decided to loan my Diana to my girlfriend. This was the best, not to mention the worst idea I had ever had. She started off cautiously shooting…not wanting to waste her first roll of Velvia film. But as she progressed with that roll her confidence grew. She was nervous to pick up her photo’s from the lab…as was I (expecting them to not turn out and her to be discouraged). Much to my surprise as well as her own they turned out beautifully. In fact I would dare to say they are better than any I have taken. I am so proud of her but at the same time I’m a lil jealous.
She is now working on her 5th roll of film and a fellow addicted Lomographer. We have the best time going on hikes with our cameras…capturing the beautiful world around us. She is my girl, my lover, and my best friend. So if you have an extra camera loan it to someone dear to you. You may be surprised at the results. And who knows…you may find a new LOMO-buddy :)
