The lightest accessory for your Lomo LC-A+ cuts up light creatively and brings a whole new dimension to your photos!
Weighing close to nothing, the Lomo LC-A+ Splitzer is an interesting accessory to have. When you slide it into the side grooves of your camera, there should be no shortage of creativity when it comes to telling stories and composing portraits. Whether its combining random objects or fusing elements of a place or subject, or maybe you just want to scrimp on film, the camera’s MX button is your bitch. Sometimes, I like leaving dark corners on purpose when I use the Splitzer. But when maximizing the whole frame, I try to think of which side was shot on based on the face of a clock.
I have one bone to pick with the Splitzer, oftentimes, adjusting the blades can be quite a task since the red blade is recessed and you have to push on it quite vigorously to get it to move. This tends to smudge the Minitar lens in the process. Honestly, I think the Diana+ Splitzer was better designed as it has to plastic stubs that allow you to manipulate both blades at the same time. The LC-A Splitzer on the other hand only has one.
