Dream a little Agfa dream: A dreamy, soft film that will make you hear poetry ring through your ears as you peruse your new batch of lomographs…

I received a twenty pack of Agfa Portrait film when I ordered my Diana+. Unfortunately, the Diana F+ wasn’t available back in those golden old days, but I will recover…. Anyway, as I was stricken by poverty for a while, I had fifteen rolls begging to be developed for quite some time. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this film. But when I saw the results, I ooed and awed enough to drive my neighbors and those walking along the streetsides next to me crazy, as I took these photographs with me everywhere, not able to put them down. The colors are dreamy. I mean, like a dream, dreamy. Not like your cross-processed dream where all colors are not quite as they should be, but soft and dreamy like your grandmother is coming back to whisper a treasured family secret to you. A secret that lets you know where the family kept its treasure. And the treasure happens to be this film… It has its rightful place. Among the daisies, those you love, those you want to soften around the edges and bring out what they would look like just past twilight, just past a nice, soft rain, just after you think the warmest thoughts of them you possibly could.

This film isn’t for punch (which, of course, we all love as well), this film is for a soft love affair. A kiss in a slow drizzle, meeting secretly under a bridge…

I know! The meadow was a very lucky find. I was on my way to go camping two or three hours from home, and I passed by this on the side of the road, somewhere in Florida in the states. I couldn't even say exactly where. It was more or less to the side of someone's house. Imagine having this field where you live!
